Hunting Lodge Pond

The Duck Hunting Annual Membership (Oct 1* to Jan 31) is $1,975 and includes unlimited participation in Oceda Plantation's three daily hunts from October 1st* to January 31st.  We release our birds in singles and pairs from camouflaged towers allowing a different shot angle from each blind around our beautiful natural duck ponds, planted in Japanese and Brown Top Millet.  The blinds are heated and supplied with hot coffee.  Each hunter will shoot from each of the blinds around the pond.  As with our Upland Bird Release Towers, two of our three Duck release towers are so well camouflaged in and around the ponds, you will not know they are even there until the birds are released.  Although, we were forced to build one release tower in the open on a hill overlooking the horse pasture pond (horses are moved for the hunts), it will be camouflaged with transplanted trees.

Wild duck season runs through December 14, 2007 - January 27, 2008.  State Youth Waterfowl day December 8, 2007 and Federal Youth days are February 2 - 3, 2008  **

*We release pheasant from our duck towers from October 1st until the opening of duck season.
**limits are set per South Carolina Migratory Bird Regulations 2007 - 2008
